About Jennie
I’ve always loved the energy of a classroom because I truly believe we are all lifelong learners. While I love teaching you new things, I’m just as eager to learn from your unique ideas and perspectives!
When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me with my nose in a good book, whipping up something delicious in the kitchen while baking, or clearing my head with a long walk outdoors. Just like I enjoy discovering a new recipe or a great story, I can’t wait to discover all the amazing things we will achieve together this year.
My goal is to make our classroom a place where curiosity is celebrated and every day feels like a new adventure. I can’t wait to get started!

My typical lesson plan starts with word work such as building words and practicing sight words. Then we will read a decodable or short text to practice the words and sounds the students are currently working on. The lesson ends with a writing activity about the text and words practiced today!
