About Kiya
I'm currently a junior in Highschool who is on track to gradute with an Advanced diploma. From recently being apart of a leadership program, I've received a leadership certificate and find joy in helping others. I understand what it's like to struggle, so patience will not be an issue.
I'm the oldest of 4 children meaning I have to set positive examples 24/7. So feeling safe and comfortable will not be an issue. During my 9th grade year, I started my World History course. It was super fun and easy for me. But I realized, me and few others succeeded out of a class of about 20 students. Even though it felt great to pass, I didn't like being one of the very few who passed. This definitely put fuel in me to help and consider tutoring.

I completely understand what it's like to struggle with something that you want and need to learn. Being 16, I believe it's also a plus to teach my peers because of the ability to relate equally. I want to present a safe learning environment and let it be known that it is ok to not know something. It's ok to be unsure. Hopefully, I will be a great fit for you and we can eventually have fun and learn together!!!
