About Rya
I am currently a first year pre-med student at the University of Auckland. During my high school years I was heavily involved with music both inside and outside of my school, being a member of the school's orchestral, liturgical, concert and jazz bands, as well as being a member of the local symphonic band :) I've won many awards in high school and from the community for my music as well as always ranking as one of my school's top music students for NCEA music levels 1,2 and 3. I learned piano since I was young before switching to clarinet, and taught as a clarinet tutor in 2020 for a local music school

I believe music can be an incredibly fun and rewarding skill, so I try to incorporate this into my lessons by keeping the lessons lighthearted, taking time to help you find the joy amongst the stress learning music can bring! I'd love to offer lessons to beginners of any age! I cannot supply an instrument for the student (other than for keyboard).
