I hold the CTCSOL Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
I graduated from the University of South Australia with a dual bachelor’s degree and have 15 years of nursing experience.
My professional background has equipped me with exceptional patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, enabling me to adapt precisely to each student’s learning needs and pace.
I share authentic, vivid aspects of Chinese culture through language teaching, dumpling‑making, folk dance performances, and more.

About the lesson

My standard class duration is 60 minutes.

Absolute Beginner Chinese Course:
No rigid, repetitive drills on Pinyin, vocabulary or sentence patterns. This course focuses on real-life daily communication, helping you break the ice easily and speak Chinese confidently from the very first lesson. I will guide you patiently step by step throughout your learning journey, helping you build confidence and truly enjoy learning Chinese.

Practical Conversational Course:
My Practical Conversational Course focuses on daily dialogue practice. It covers topics such as sharing hobbies and making plans with friends. All dialogues are highly practical and closely related to everyday life, helping you master core conversational skills with ease.

Children’s Chinese Course:
My Children’s Chinese Course adopts a play-based learning approach. Classes include fun games, short stories, colourful flashcards and cartoon role-play activities. We discuss interesting topics such as toys and pets, and practise simple daily sentences. Diverse classroom activities help children easily grasp basic Chinese, build speaking confidence and enjoy learning.

HSK courses
HSK courses are tailored for learners from HSK 1 to HSK 6. I offer personalised teaching, avoiding one-size-fits-all methods and tedious rote memorisation. All lessons follow official HSK exam standards. Classes are professional yet warm and supportive, keeping you motivated and helping you make steady progress.
