I am a credentialed teacher. I have been teaching English and reading to natives and non-natives for the last 40 years. I have taught adults to read and speak English in the context of their job.

The English language has 52 + or - 2 sounds and has only 26 letters to represent those sounds. I teach sound symbol relationship. I taught a 2nd grader his alphabet by using Sign Language. I taught a 4th grader to read using English, Spanish and Sign Language. I use the senses of touch, sight and sound to teach. I use a variety of ways to teach.
