About Paula
I am a fluent, fully credentialed bilingual in Spanish k-12 teacher with 25 years of experience. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from UC Santa Barbara. I studied at the Universidad de Granada in Spain and I studied Spanish literature there. I have 12 years teaching Kindergarten through 6th grade. Currently I am teaching High School Spanish. I have over 13 years experience teaching High School Spanish. 10% of my students every year for the last 13 years have earned medals on the National Spanish Exam.

Students must find the patterns in foreign language, just like they do in math. Spanish is a very logical language and follows strict grammatical rules that can be learned by finding patterns. I also think that foreign language must be personalized and the student must find the connections to their own personal vocabulary to create meaning and to communicate about themselves.
