About Kathleen
I am a dedicated and experienced tutor passionate about helping students unlock their full potential in English, creative writing, poetry, resume preparation, and classic literature. With a patient and adaptive teaching style, I tailor lessons to fit each learner’s unique needs and pace. I bring empathy and creativity into every session, making learning engaging and accessible for neurodivergent individuals, creatives, and those who feel a little different. My teaching style is patient, creative, and trauma-informed, designed especially for students who feel like traditional classrooms haven’t worked for them. Whether you’re neurodivergent, shy, or just tired of rigid learning, I create a safe space where you can thrive.
I blend structure with storytelling. A typical lesson might start with a warm-up (like a creative prompt or discussion question), followed by skill-building exercises and tailored feedback. For resume work, we focus on clarity, voice, and confidence. For writing or literature, we dive into analysis, creativity, and emotional connection.
These lessons are ideal for high school and college students, adult learners, creatives, and anyone reclaiming their voice.
I especially welcome students who feel a little different—the dreamers, the quiet thinkers, and those who learn outside the box. You're not too much, and you're not too late. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
