About Tia
Hi, I am a Youth Educator specializing in Special Education, Physical Literacy, Creativity, Methods of Learning, and Out-side-the-Box thinkers.
If you feel your brain works differently than others, or do not pick up on concepts in a linear fashion, you need overviews of the whole concept before piecing it together--I will show you ways that will support your education needs.
I work in Elementary and High School to provide academic support to the classroom and individual students as a Special Education Assistant, with At-Risk Youth in Residential Support Treatment Programs, as well as MC for Special Events and Public Speaking Engagements.
I have a varied Educational background ranging from Tourism & Event Management CO-OP Diploma Program, Justice Institute of BC, Education Assistant Programming, Autism Support (POPARD), Behavioral Consultant Support, Residential Support Work Planning, and Work Experience and Future Planning.

I always found ways to make Math fun as it was the only way I could keep myself engaged with some of the more difficult concepts.
I am excited to help you make sense of the Math concepts you need for graduation as well as help make sense of how math may be used in your everyday life. Whether you are needing to complete it for post secondary applications or feel you are missing gaps in your numeracy, I am happy to provide support with your learning.
For parents, I also provide engaging activities to help your child to learn Numeracy basic for K-7 so they learn to have fun with breaking down concepts and creating connections to future concepts.
