About Richard

I'm Richard, a robotics and programming tutor with a creative streak. I believe that the purpose of education is to arm students with the tools they need to solve problems in the real world, focusing on first-principles thinking and creative problem-solving. I've applied such skills in running my own small business, and imparted them to students at high-quality weekend classes and holiday camps for groups of students. Through my various projects and commitments I've built up practical skills in design engineering, targeted learning and building effective and beautiful software. About the lesson

Through a programme of exploration and fun, your child will develop a passion and aptitude for the beautiful fields of robotics and programming by completing projects they can be proud of. I focus on teaching my students creative problem-solving skills and systemic first-principles thinking that is applicable to all areas of life, and will stick with them for life. You can expect: 1. An adaptive and personalised learning experience, pushing your child to realise their potential without losing interest. 2. A projects-focused lesson structure where your child will be able to work on completing fun and engaging assignments while learning valuable skills. 3. A multi-disciplinary approach, linking concepts from a variety of fields and sparking an interest in making connections that no one else sees to solve problems that no one else can.
