About Gabriela

Hello, my name is Gaby! I’m a warm, empathetic, and approachable person, passionate about both learning and teaching. Since I was little, I’ve been fascinated by different accents and discovering new cultures through language, which led me to become a Spanish teacher for foreigners. I believe the best way to learn a language is with a native teacher who not only teaches grammar and vocabulary but also immerses you in the culture and makes you feel part of the language from day one. My teaching experience includes working at OCTB, where I guided students in their Spanish learning process, as well as teaching English to children on weekends at Universidad Central (Bogotá). Additionally, I have taught at Stimmung Art School, where I integrated creative methodologies to enhance language and photography learning through art and storytelling. I’m a Graphic Designer and Filmmaker, and my love for image, storytelling, and visual aesthetics is reflected in my classes: dynamic, interactive, and filled with visual and audio materials that make learning natural and fun. I love analog photography, cinema, and colors, and I strongly believe in the power of images to connect with others. I also have a special connection with animals, especially dogs—my schnauzer Asumi is my loyal companion. My experience teaching Spanish, English, and Photography to students of different ages has allowed me to develop a flexible and personalized methodology. I adapt to each student's needs and interests, incorporating music, movies, articles, and real conversations to make learning immersive and meaningful. My approach is to create a pressure-free environment while ensuring visible and tangible progress.
