Jonathan Goddard is an excellent tutor who has successfully prepared two of my children for their 11 Plus entry exams for top London day and top boarding schools. He is currently helping my son prepare for his common entrance exams next year and will soon start preparing my youngest daughter for her 11 Plus in 2021. He can teach across the whole range of subjects including Maths and Latin, the latter being a specialty of his. My children are very fond of Jonathan. He has been helping them since 2014 and I was very lucky to have found him. Jonathan is not like any tutor; he understands children and engages each in a way that is tailored to them specifically to bring out their maximum potential. He is calm and creative in his approach and my children have not once moaned or complained about having to do work with Jonathan. Jonathan tutored our son last year in preparation for secondary school entry exams most particularly for Dulwich College.

While this sounds straightforward there was a difficult time early on when my son took constructive feedback as criticism of his work. Jonathan was empathetic, supportive and respectful during this period and
was mindful of his needs when discussing what was needed for their work together to be useful.

Jonathan drew up an agreement with my son and continued to be sensitive in his approach. I’m delighted to report that our son was offered a place in Dulwich College.
