About Sierra
I graduated Covenant College cum laude with a Bachelors in Sociology and am currently enrolled in a Masters program at UT.
I have always embodied a love for reading and writing, even finishing a self-published fictional trilogy before graduating high school.
My college experience was writing intensive, many professors opted for essays instead of exams as evaluative measures. I consistently scored in A’s and B+’s on my academic writing, was published multiple times, and even selected to present a paper at an arts conference during my junior year of college.
In my senior year, I performed a sociological study and wrote my bachelors thesis on the effects of gender bias in medicine. Titled, “Hysterical Women: Gender Disparity in Medicine,” my thesis received full marks and departmental praise with an invitation to present at the upcoming Christian Sociological Conference.
Ultimately, I have a strong love for writing, especially academic writing, and love to cultivate other student’s writing skills and appreciation of the art of written expression

I teach my students that writing is an art form, allowing them to succinctly and clearly express themselves and their opinions. Good writing, especially good academic writing, will set student up for lifelong success in not only their academic journey, but also their career. I hope to instill an appreciation for the power of writing in my students while teaching them to cultivate their skills and improving every day.
