About John
I'm a management consultant at EY, a policy researcher, and the founder of ClassOn which I built from the ground up. I've spent my 20s juggling high-stakes work, big career decisions, and building something of my own, all at the same time.
I know what it feels like to be capable and ambitious but still unsure of your direction. I know what burnout looks like when you're too busy to notice it. And I know how much difference it makes to have one honest conversation with someone who actually gets it.
That's why I coach. Not because I have a certificate, but because I've done the work, made the hard calls, and come out with a clearer sense of what matters and how to get there.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you're chasing a version of success that doesn't quite fit, I can help you figure out what you actually want and build a real plan to get there.

I'm a consultant at EY and the founder of ClassOn. I've built a career across management consulting, policy, and entrepreneurship, while managing the kind of pressure, uncertainty, and competing priorities that most people in their 20s and 30s are trying to figure out.
I offer life coaching for people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unclear on what they actually want, and who need honest, practical support to move forward.
I work with clients on:
- Career direction and decision-making (changing roles, industries, or paths entirely)
- Confidence and self-belief, especially in high-pressure professional environments
- Goal-setting and follow-through (turning vague intentions into a concrete plan)
- Managing ambition alongside burnout, comparison, and impostor syndrome
- Work-life balance and building a life that actually fits your values

John is absolutely brilliant. He’s been tutoring my son Aarav for GCSE Psychology, and the change has been noticeable right from the first lesson. Aarav says he’s learned more with John in one session than in weeks at school. John explains concepts clearly, always checks understanding, and brings in great real-life examples. He’s punctual, easy to communicate with, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Worth every penny.
We’ve had a few tutors over the years, but none like John. He’s been working with my son Theo, and the results speak for themselves — better grades, better attitude, and most importantly, less stress for all of us. John gets through to Theo in a way that teachers at school just haven’t. His mix of professionalism and genuine care is rare. I’d recommend him without hesitation.
John has been incredible for my daughter, Amira, who’s in Year 13 studying A Level Economics. She was really struggling with evaluation and structuring 25-mark essays. John immediately pinpointed the gaps and helped her build a clear, practical approach. Her confidence has grown massively—she went from a C in her mocks to an A in her latest paper. He explains complex ideas like market failure and monetary policy in a way that actually sticks. Honestly, I don’t think she’d be aiming for an A* without his support.
We started working with John a few months ago for my son, Leo, and I honestly can't praise him enough. Leo was struggling with confidence in maths, but John completely turned that around. He’s patient, clear, and somehow makes even the driest topics engaging. Leo actually asks when his next session is—something I never expected. John’s support has gone beyond academics—he’s helped rebuild Leo’s belief in himself. We’re so grateful we found him.
John has been an absolute gift to our family. From the first lesson, he connected with Jed in a way that built confidence and made learning feel achievable. He explains things clearly, never talks down, and somehow makes every session feel productive without pressure. Jed actually looks forward to lessons now—something I never thought I’d say. We’ve seen real progress, not just in results but in attitude. I recommend John without hesitation. He genuinely cares, and it shows.
John tutored my child for over a year and made a real difference. He’s reliable, communicates clearly, and adapts his teaching to suit the student. He builds trust quickly and keeps lessons focused and effective. I’d recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a calm, consistent, and skilled tutor.
John has been an exceptional tutor for my child. From the first session, it was clear he brings deep subject knowledge, professionalism, and a calm, focused teaching style that builds real confidence. As a parent, I appreciated how clearly he communicated progress and tailored each lesson to target weak areas. My child not only improved their grades but also started to enjoy the subject more. With his background as an examiner and consultant, John brings credibility and insight that’s hard to find. I highly recommend him to any parent seeking serious academic support for their child.
John is one of the most capable and committed tutors I’ve worked with—his rare combination of academic excellence, examiner insight, and real-world experience makes him an outstanding mentor for any student aiming for top results. I’ve known John through both academic and professional settings, and his approach is consistently sharp, thoughtful, and tailored to individual students. He doesn’t just teach the syllabus—he helps students understand what examiners are looking for, and how to deliver it under pressure. I would recommend him without hesitation to any student or parent looking for results-driven, high-quality support.
