About Ernest
I used to work as a Programmer/Test Analyst in the software industry. I then moved into the education sector where I have been teaching A Level Computer Science and BTEC Computing for the last 17 years. Recently I have been delivering Python lessons online using Zoom to 10 to 12 year kids as well as 16+ old learners.
The students I taught recently and in the past have excelled remarkably in their exams. For instance, some students have achieved Distinction and others Merits in BTEC Computing exams. Similarly a good number of students excelled above expectations in A Level Computer Science exams: A, B and C grades in Computer Science.

I want to believe that as a learner you are pretty aware of the differences between online and classroom instruction delivery methods goes beyond the medium alone. Therefore, how I deliver lessons, interact with students, and assess learning in the classroom is very much different from teaching in a virtual learning environment. My online teaching method is designed to provide a teaching presence that facilitates and directs the learning process in ways that engage student(s) in active, measurable, and customised learning experiences. This is achieved by implementing games that provide a risk-free, but challenging environment for engaging students using realistic problem-based act activities aimed at helping learners develop requisite skills need to become an expert learner in the subject area.
