About Amy
Hi! I'm Amy, a third year student studying Computer Science at the University of Glasgow. I'm from Dundee originally so I'm back and forward a lot between both cities. If you're looking for in-person tutoring I can do both cities as long as there is enough notice and availability for dates. I did both maths and computing (alongside physics) up to advanced higher level, and did maths for an additional two years at university before narrowing it to computing in my third year. I know a lot about languages you might be using in school, like Python, HTML, MySQL and Java, for example. If you're struggling in computing I can definitely help you out! If you're struggling with maths too, I do a lot of it in my degree and know everything up to Advanced Higher in schools (and beyond). I take my work seriously, including winning a JP Morgan Chase hackathon last October and working for Barclays as an intern in the coming summer. Please get in touch if you're interested and I'll do my very best to build up your confidence and knowledge in either of these subjects!

Lessons can be for Scottish students at all levels (National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher). Lessons would be expected to last for an hour. I will need to know for computer science what the pupil's programming experience is in (what programming languages are taught at their school and which areas of computing they need help in, either databases, web design, programming, or computer systems). Because it differs between schools I want to make sure I am teaching a programming language at the appropriate level, not too much or too little!
