About Shalom
I'm Shalom, currently studying Computer Science with Mathematics at Obafemi Awolowo University. Math has always been my thing. I genuinely enjoy it, and I think that shows when I'm teaching. My whole philosophy is that math is basically a language: once you understand the basic "words," you can start building your own "essays" with little to no guidance. That's the goal - not just memorizing steps, but getting to a point where the logic makes sense to you on your own. I also work as a developer on the side, so I'm not just doing theory, I'm using this stuff to build real things daily. I've personally been through the exact courses I teach, from core Math and Stats to Further Math and Algorithms, so I know exactly where students usually get stuck - whether it's WAEC/JAMB prep or a tough university course. I'm patient, I show up prepared, and honestly, I just want you to see that math is fun.

Hey, I'm Shalom. A Computer Science with Math student at OAU. I don't just re-explain everything from top to bottom; I start by throwing a few problems at you to see exactly where things break down, then we focus there instead of wasting time on stuff you already get. Once we know the gap, I break it down properly, tie it to the kind of questions you'll actually see on your exam (WAEC, JAMB, uni tests, whatever), and we drill past questions till it sticks.
Sessions run 60–90 mins - shorter if it's just problem-solving, longer if we're building up a new topic from scratch.
On the qualifications side: I've been through Math, Stats, Further Math, Calculus, and Algorithms myself at OAU (Linear Algebra, Groups & Rings, Mathematical Methods, the whole stack), and I also work as a developer, so algorithmic thinking isn't just theory for me - it's literally what I do daily.
I mostly work with secondary school students prepping for WAEC/JAMB, and University students trying to survive foundational or intermediate math/stats courses. Whether you need to start from zero or just need to sharpen up before a test, we set clear goals per session instead of just clocking hours.
