About Rhys
Graduated with a First-Class honours in Computer Science from Aberystwyth University and I hold A-levels in Maths and Further Maths. Having tutored students that have struggled to wrap their heads around the concepts and topics that the subjects present in school, I believe that with the correct one on one tutoring any student can not only understand the topics at hand but learn to enjoy the challenges they present without becoming apathetic. I focus on breaking down the problems and applying real world examples so that learning stems from a true understanding of subjects and not rote memorisation of formulas Outside of work I'm an avid guitarist (Happy to offer tips to any students that share an interest) and Sax player. I focus on building confidence through understanding, I believe every student can succeed in Maths and Computer Science when concepts are explained clearly and connected to real-life situations. Normally sessions will last 60 mins, but I can also organise 30 minute intensive sessions for topic reviews or longer sessions for pre-exam prep. I have a strong background in both Mathematics and Computer Science, with a first class honours in Computer Science from Aberystwyth University and A-levels in Maths and Further Maths, I have experience tutoring family friends who have gone on to do very well in their exams. My lessons are intended for up to GCSE level students for maths and A-level for computer science, but I'm happy to offer help to any level below that might need some extra help understanding concepts or that need some direction in their studies.
