About Sean

I'm a graduate of composition studies from Sam Houston State University, having studied under Kyle Kindred, Brian Herrington, and Joseph Corey Schenck. While I'm new to teaching, I have over a decade of experience in composition, arranging, and music theory.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to first gauge how much the student knows and then build off of that. Starting with classical part writing, I intend to take the student all the way through every era of music theory from the common practice period onward by deconstructing how pieces work (e.g. breaking down the chord sequence in a Mozart sonata).
