I'm a composer from the US. While my preference is chamber ensemble writing I have ample experience writing for large forces including orchestra and wind bands. I'm finishing up this year at the Royal Academy of Music getting my degree in composition.

Methodology would be very individualized. Without too much detail it would depend on finding what the student wants to learn and guiding them in a way that has them following them where their curiosity leads them. I wouldn't want to pull teeth.
