About Shanti

Violin entered my life at age 4 through the Suzuki method. This framework defines my 7 years of instruction. I prioritize listening before reading and imitation before analysis.

My degree is a BMus Violin from Juilliard. Orchestral performance remains a core part of my professional identity. I specialize in preparing ambitious students for state finals and beyond. Competitions require a specific type of discipline and focus.

About the lesson

Instruction functions best as a collaborative dialogue between player and instrument. Precision creates beauty.

Technical skills like spiccato and staccato bowing emerge from a deep understanding of posture and hold. I integrate these concepts alongside vibrato and sight reading techniques. My lessons draw on 10 years of focused experience refining competitive standards.

Tuning by ear ensures a student maintains total control over their sound profile. Achieving a perfect phrase brings a sense of genuine satisfaction.
