Theme: Clear Sentences & Strong Ideas
- Reading:
Short fiction passage (500–800 words) from an age-appropriate text
Focus on identifying main idea, supporting details, and tone
- Writing:
Crafting strong topic sentences and clear supporting sentences
Journal entry: “A day I’ll never forget” (focus on clarity over length)
- Grammar:
Parts of speech review (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs)
Common sentence structure patterns (simple sentences)
- Homework: Short texts to identify verbs and nouns.
