About Karla
Current fourth year UC Davis student majoring in Communications and Global Studies with an emphasis in Latin America. I was born and raised in Central America and I am currently working as a Spanish broadcaster with a Los Angeles studio. In addition, I have teaching experience of a little of over a year with children ages 7 to 12, but I feel comfortable teaching people of all ages.

My teaching method will be based on oral expression and conversation. I will divide my lessons by topics and by language level. My lessons will also feature a ton of music and tv shows in Spanish, and as a fun methodology, I will use scripts from Spanish telenovelas to teach my students how to read, comprehend, and write in Spanish. I believe that languages are better learned and enjoyed through art such as music and entertainment.
