About Carlos
With over 16 years of experience teaching drums, I work mainly with college students who want to develop strong rhythm control and creative playing skills. My aim is to make drum learning simple, effective, and enjoyable. My teaching method combines creativity, structure, and mentorship. I explain concepts clearly and guide students through practical exercises.
I encourage students to explore grooves and styles with confidence. I use innovative learning methods such as groove mapping, beat construction, and tempo variation drills. I also include improvisation sessions to build musical expression.
Accountability is an important part of my teaching. I set clear goals, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback. This helps students stay consistent and motivated. Besides drums, I teach related subjects like rhythm theory, basic notation, and performance skills. My lessons create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
