About Kelsey

My name is Kelsey and I am a 19 year old college student at Pace University NYC in the Pforzheimer's Honors College and Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid Spain. I have been taught Spanish from a young age and have made it my mission to obtain fluency. I have taken a total of 8 years of Spanish lessons prior to my Spanish minor in college.
I have been able to use my Spanish language skills in a plurality of settings, including with friends, in public, and in Spain, where I have been studying abroad.
Throughout my academic career, I am in two national Spanish Honors Societies, where I have had the pleasure of hosting events and attending chapter meetings.
I have a ton of resources at my disposal and would love to share my knowledge with other students!

About the lesson

As a tutor, my goal is to help students develop their language skills and grow their desire to learn new languages. I do this by introducing vocabulary, writing, speaking, and reading techniques that are creative and can be tailored to the student. I use music and television shows to increase listening skills and fun memorization approaches to ingrain vocabulary and grammar.

A typical lesson plan would begin with a review of previous sessions' information, an introduction to the new material (all accessible in documents) and interactive game or video.

My lessons vary in level, but are for novice and intermediate students.
Being a student myself, I understand the difficulties of comprehension in any subject and work side by side with the student to make the material fun!
