About Afshad
I've been a teaching assistant for MIS 375: Strategic IT Management this semester. In this course, I've mainly been working on editing writing. I've also spent a significant amount of time wireframing applications, creating entity-relationship diagrams for database design, and working in project management.

Hi! I am a senior finishing up school at the University of Texas at Austin studying Management Information Systems in the McCombs School of Business. For my major, I've taken a variety of both technical and non-technical courses, ranging from full-stack web application development and database management to strategic IT management and IT audit/security. I'm also a Philosophy minor, where my studies have focused on contemporary ethical issues, business ethics, cognitive sciences, and process philosophy, amongst others. I've had four internships - two at JP Morgan, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), and Workday.
I'm pretty flexible with my lesson structure and can work with you to identify where our starting point is, what our goals are, and how we'll get there. I think it's easier to convey ideas in person, but completely understand if it isn't convenient and can work around your schedule as needed.
