About Maddy
My name is Maddy and I'm a recent Music Education graduate from Keene State College. While at KSC, I peer tutored in Music Theory and Aural Skills. I am now a middle school band and music teacher, and I play a variety of woodwind and brass instruments.

Music Theory / Aural Skill lessons are geared towards 9th-12th graders, and college music majors who are enrolled in music theory or aural skill courses.
I believe that if you can't explain something in its most basic form, then you cannot be an effective teacher. A typical lesson with me starts with either an assignment to be completed, or review/teaching of a specific concept. I will walk you through the most basic explanation of each concept, walk you through practice examples, and then have you complete examples on your own. My goal as your tutor is to give you simple explanations of concepts, and to provide you with the tools to be able to independently complete assignments.
