About Sabrina

I was born and raised in Guatemala and am fluent in both English and Spanish. I studied biology and dance at Barnard College of Columbia University and trained extensively at Mason Gross School of the Arts, where I developed a deep understanding of movement, anatomy, and biomechanics. My background combines scientific study with professional dance training, giving me a unique perspective on the body’s capabilities and the art of movement. I have always truly loved moving my body. This love became even more profound when I used movement as a tool to help me recover from a severe depressive episode—more than any medication or doctor could. Through building a daily movement practice, I not only regained my strength but also found healing and purpose. This personal experience, along with over a decade as a movement practitioner, fuels my passion for helping others discover the physical and emotional benefits of movement. I am committed to creating a supportive, professional environment where clients can build strength, confidence, and a lifelong love for moving their bodies.

I wholeheartedly believe that exercise should not only enhance physical and mental well-being but also be truly enjoyable. With this philosophy, I aim to help you build sustainable fitness habits and spark curiosity about how your body moves and functions. Above all, I hope to inspire a lifelong love for movement. Typical Lesson Length: 60 minutes Qualifications & Experience: I’m a Polestar Pilates-certified instructor with over a decade of experience in movement, blending expertise in both wellness and clinical settings. I've worked in physical therapy clinics and hospitals alongside physiotherapists, aiding in injury rehabilitation and strength-focused training. My teaching approach blends classical and contemporary Pilates techniques with traditional strength training, movement repatterning strategies, rehabilitation exercises, and a variety of movement techniques I've explored throughout my career as a movement practitioner. My background in both biology and dance provides a deep understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, which informs my teaching style. Who the Lessons Are For: My classes are personalised for every body—whether you're a complete beginner, recovering from injury, or looking to deepen your movement practice. I welcome clients of all ages and abilities, with a focus on improving strength, flexibility, and overall movement quality for everyday life.
