About Sarah

I’m a Clinical Pharmacy graduate from Cairo University with a 3.8 GPA, ranked 13th in my graduating class, and recognized on the Honors List. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry.

I’ve worked with students from different academic backgrounds and levels, including high school, AP Chemistry, and college-level General Chemistry students. My pharmacy background also allows me to connect chemistry concepts to real-life and health-science applications when helpful.

I genuinely love questions. I want students to stop me, ask “why?”, and tell me whenever something doesn’t make sense. If you’re struggling with a topic because you missed an earlier concept, we don’t just push forward—we go back to the very beginning, fill in the gaps, and build the concept step by step.

I’m a big believer in learning by doing. I use active recall throughout my lessons and include exercises after each section before we move on to the next. I want to make sure you can actually apply what we’ve covered rather than simply understand it while I’m explaining it.

My goal is for you to leave the lesson not just thinking, “That made sense,” but feeling, “I can actually solve this on my own.”

I offer personalized AP Chemistry and General Chemistry lessons for high school and introductory college students. Whether you’re starting a topic from the beginning, struggling with calculations and concepts, keeping up with your class, or preparing for the AP Chemistry exam, lessons are adapted to your course and current level.

My approach focuses on understanding the chemistry behind the equations rather than simply memorizing formulas. If the foundation isn’t clear, we go back to the basics, break the concept down step by step, and build from there.

Lessons are based on active recall and practice. We divide each topic into smaller sections, and after each section, we work through exercises together before moving on. I encourage questions throughout the lesson—I want you to ask “why?” and tell me whenever something doesn’t make sense.

For AP Chemistry students, we can work specifically on AP-style MCQs and FRQs, calculations, interpreting graphs and experimental data, dimensional analysis, and strategies for approaching exam questions.

We can also work directly from your school materials, including lecture slides, worksheets, homework, study guides, and past or practice exams.

Every lesson includes:
• Practice questions throughout the session
• A summarized mind map or review of the key concepts
• A practice worksheet to complete independently after the lesson

Topics can include stoichiometry and mole calculations, atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, molecular geometry, intermolecular forces, gases, solutions, thermochemistry, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, electrochemistry, and other topics from your AP or General Chemistry curriculum.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session to discuss your course, goals, and areas where you need help.

When proposing a lesson, please send your DAY + AVAILABLE TIME(S) + TIME ZONE.
Example: Tuesday — 4:00–7:00 PM — EST

Once we agree on a time, please confirm the lesson through Superprof and send your course materials at least 24 hours beforehand. This gives me enough time to review your materials and prepare a lesson specifically around what you’re studying.
