About Peadar
Hello,
I'm a friendly and understanding person with strong linguistic and mathematical skills.
I have most recently worked as a structural design engineer. Although I was very skilled and capable, I recently realised that this work is not my passion, thus, I have decided to take a step back and focus on areas of employment that I am more passionate about.
I’m looking for work as a tutor, as I love working and dealing with people. I have great patience and a strong sense of empathy and understanding, which I believe are invaluable skills to possess as a tutor. Furthermore, I’m really passionate about learning and education, and simply love to learn. I believe that as a student, having a teacher who is enthusiastic about the subject they are teaching, really improves the learning experience and can make the subject more accessible and interesting.

I focus on helping students to develop a strong understanding of each section of the subjects I tutor. I initially focus on explaining the theory and on helping students to really understand the theory. I do this primarily by working through text and through sample questions step by step together with the students, while writing simple key notes throughout the process. Then, I suggest that the students try to solve problems, which I help them through when they are having difficulty.
Typical length of a lesson is 1 hour.
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
Lessons for students up to the age of 16/ end of junior cycle level.
