I've been studying with Luca for a year, and my goal was to be able to speak Italian with my husband's family. I'm so happy that I can finally do that! He has always supported and encouraged me to speak with confidence. In every lesson, we practised grammar, vocabulary, and conversation, and each lesson built on the previous one, creating a clear sense of continuous progress. The learning materials provided are of excellent quality and easy to follow. I highly recommend Luca to anyone wanting to learn Italian.

Luca is a fantastic teacher! I’ve been taking weekly lessons with him for 6 weeks and I highly recommend him because:

1. He’s very patient and very encouraging - I’m a beginner and I never felt judged or rushed when I speak. I feel safe to try, make mistakes and ask questions. He usually encourages me to try instead of just give me the answers. For example, once I asked him how to say every 2 weeks in Italian, he guided me to find the answers myself. It's pretty rewarding to have that aha moment.

2. I really enjoy his teaching style and the structure of the lesson - I find it to be mostly learning by doing. Many opportunities to practice speaking whether it’s a casual chat or the grammar/vocabulary exercises. I like that I learn about the concept and get to apply it right away. It’s great that he also introduces cultural stuff - such as stabilimenti (paid beaches) or people traditionally eat lentils on New Year’s Eve for luck and wealth. Or like what words/phrases to use to sound more natural even though other words can be translated the same in English. If I ask questions about something with a new grammar concept I haven’t learned, he can explain them clearly with simple examples and come up with easy stuff for me to apply.

3. He speaks Italian during the lesson - I think this type of immersion has helped me improve my listening. He’s good at paraphrasing and explaining things in simple words. But if I really get stuck, he’ll use English to explain the key concepts/phrases.

4. Clear communication - sends material and confirms the day & time of the lesson prior to the class via email .

I've really enjoyed my Italian lessons. Luca is friendly, patient, and makes every class interesting and enjoyable. The lessons are well organised and provide a great balance of grammar, conversation, and practical language skills. I've learned a lot and look forward to each lesson. I would definitely recommend these classes to anyone wanting to learn Italian.

I have had several lessons with Luca and I can not recommend him highly enough. He is patient, his lessons are well structured and he tailors them to your interests. they are a good mix of conversation, grammar & culture and I have noticed a huge difference in my confidence and listening skills. No matter what your level of Italian, Luca will guide you and have you speaking like a true Italian in no time. he is also a nice guy!
