About Gen
I studied Chinese Language and Literature in my Bachelor's degree, and completed my Master's degree in Linguistics. My field of interest is sociolinguistics, language acquisition (in Chinese) and Cantonese studies. I consider myself as a nice and fun person in lessons. I am a passionate teacher and I am fond of the Chinese Language. I expect a lot of interaction with my students in class, as I enjoy intercultural communication with my students. It's not only about the student acquiring a language, but also about both of us to grow and be a better person for the world.

I have been teaching Chinese academically and also as a foreign language for 7+ years to all ages. With my linguistics background, I break down the complication and explain in detail. You will get your chance to speak up as much as you can for your fluency practice. Chinese is a wise language as there are so many variations even just to express one same thing, and there are stories behind all different terms. You will also understand the beauty of Chinese culture while learning the language. Learning Chinese is nothing about memorising without a reason, it's something fun and practical which makes you speak like a pro.
