About Dongxu

Hi, my name is Dong, you can call me Gordon. I was born in China. My mother tongues are Chinese(Mandarin) and Chaoshan dialect. I can communicate in Cantonese and English. I like workouts, hiking, running, music, and reading.

I'm a new Chinese teacher, but I've been teaching English for 2 years to Chinese students at an English training institution. I also have a strong background in the international trading business.

About the lesson

-Teaching Methodology: I offer various teaching methods, such as interactive and engaging lessons, and tailored approaches based on individual needs.

-Lesson Structure and Materials: My class is well-structured and organized. I use textbooks and online resources, also I use additional materials to enhance learning, such as vocabulary lists, quizzes, or supplementary readings. Flexible to adapt to the pace of your learning.

For all levels of Chinese learners, you will be asked some questions so I can get a better idea about your Chinese level, we will discuss your goals or objectives. That way, I can start creating a personalized Chinese-language learning plan for you!

For beginners: You will have a glimpse of Chinese pinyin first, then you will learn some useful sentences. After that, we will discuss some everyday topics, such as in the restaurant, in the convenience store, and on the way to a place... Certain topics can be taken in based on your preference. And after that, learn basic vocabulary and expressions in textbooks, working on the foundation for language learning.

For intermediate, enlarging your pool of vocabulary&expressions is the main task. I suggest you go directly to conversation practicing mixed with higher-level textbooks. Reading and writing are also included.

For advanced, you're already able to express your ideas fluently and accurately, you just need to improve your speaking, reading, and writing. Actually, you're already able to learn more new words&expressions on your own, you just need a partner to practice more. I can teach you vocabulary related to your profession/career.

Since I am a new Chinese teacher, the rate would be lower at first, but it will definitely increase when I gain experience in the near future. So book lessons with me before it increases!
