About Ziwen
I am a university student from Shanghai, China, currently studying at the University of Birmingham. So I can speak standard Mandarin, some Shanghainese, and have the ability to explain their meanings to students in English. The reason why I want to be a teacher is that I encountered many difficulties in learning Chinese when I was young, but after overcoming these difficulties, I found that Chinese is a beautiful and elegant language. I want more people to know about it and discover its beauty.

I am a person with no talent for languages, which is why I find many ways to learn Chinese. With my own experience, I can arouse students' interest in this wonderful language. Chinese characters are known to be hieroglyphs, so I'll break them down to help beginners memorise them. For the basic learners, I will take them to learn ancient Chinese and interesting short stories to help them understand more about Chinese culture.
