I have relevant teaching experience in Chinese. I worked as a Chinese teacher in my spare time and committed to improving the Chinese competence of my students. I have developed a systematic approach that covers listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Not only do I use textbooks for reference, I would also combine multimedia resources, and interactive activities to facilitate language learning, taking into account the diverse needs and learning styles of different foreign students.
I think cultural immersion is an important component of teaching Chinese to foreigners, as language and culture are intertwined. So I often introduce Chinese cultural elements, such as customs, traditions, festivals, history, and arts, to provide learners with a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and society.
Moreover, cultural sensitivity and intercultural communication are important considerations in teaching Chinese to foreigners. I strive to foster a culturally inclusive and respectful learning environment, where students from different cultural backgrounds feel valued and supported.
Overall, I hold a firm belief that I can help my students acquire Chinese at a fast speed.
