About Karin
As a German with Chinese background and a degree in Sinology (WWU Münster including two semesters abroad in China and Taiwan), I speak German as a mother tongue and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) at a negotiable level. Through my own language studies, I know what matters in the systematic learning of Chinese. I also translate literature, websites, etc. (dt-cn-en) as a freelancer.

The lessons are structured and individualized according to your personal situation (exam preparation, upcoming stay abroad, general interest, etc.), needs (speaking, reading, listening, vocabulary, etc.) and level. We can design the lessons according to a textbook, but also freely (e.g. by learning Chinese songs). During class I pay attention to a regular repetition of the taught content and a high proportion of practice opportunities, i.e. you will be asked to apply new grammar and vocabulary directly in example sentences.
