About Amesha

I am an undergrad Psychology student, Pre-School Prep Assistant Teacher, and After school counselor.
I enjoy being around children and nurturing them to be their best selves by developing emotional intelligence and building their confidence in academics.

Since I was in 2nd grade I assisted my aunt at her after-school tutoring program. Helping students who were sometimes 2-3 grades above me with their homework.

Currently, I help students at after school with their homework and teach an interactive science experiment class. I hope to bring this experience to various students virtually.

I believe that helping students understand how they learn, process, and retain information is the key to their success in school and other areas of their lives.

About the lesson

I cater lesson plans based on the student's comfortability, goals, strengths, and weaknesses.
My patience and experience with a diverse group of students from the Caribbean, different ages, and schools across New York.
My lessons are focused on ensuring students understand that they need to read at their own pace, with word associations and consistent practice.

Amesha is the embodiment of a trustworthy teacher/tutor. She is a very attentive and kind person that takes education very serious. “Molding the minds of tomorrow is a present today” This quote that she said to me has stuck with me from the day we started working together. I believe Amesha would be an outstanding teacher/tutor.
