About Rose

I’m a Pharmacology graduate and experienced private tutor with over 10 years of tutoring experience. I teach Chemistry at both GCSE and A-Level and have worked with students of a wide range of abilities and learning styles, including students with ADHD and autism.

My scientific background gives me a strong understanding of Chemistry beyond the syllabus, which allows me to explain concepts in a way that makes them meaningful rather than simply teaching students to memorise information.

I genuinely enjoy helping students gain confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult and seeing their understanding and grades improve over time. I’m patient, approachable and believe that every student can make progress when teaching is adapted to the way they learn best.

About the lesson

I offer personalised GCSE and A-Level Chemistry tuition, with lessons tailored to each student’s ability, exam board and individual learning needs. I have experience supporting neurodivergent students, including students with ADHD and autism, and adapt my teaching style, pace and lesson structure accordingly.

My lessons focus on making difficult Chemistry concepts easier to understand while developing strong exam technique. I use clear explanations, worked examples, visual aids, exam-style questions and past papers, breaking more challenging topics into manageable steps.

I aim to create a patient and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. Whether a student needs help understanding the fundamentals, improving their exam technique or working towards higher grades, each lesson is shaped around their individual goals and progress.
