About Rachel
I am a chemistry student teacher graduating from BYU this spring in chemistry education. I have been a teaching assistant and tutor for college general chemistry and research assistant in chemistry education for the last two years. I am currently teaching chemistry full time to high school students during my student teaching.

My teaching methodology is based on teaching students how to learn. I believe schools don't adequately prepare students for the rigors of college studying that will be expected of them because they don't teach appropriate metacognitive problem solving strategies. Especially in chemistry, it's important to approach the subject from a correct understanding of how to process abstract concepts.
