About Emma
Chemistry captured my interest when I realised how elegantly it explains the transformations happening all around us—from cooking to industry to environmental processes. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemical Science, where I gained a strong foundation in both theoretical and laboratory-based chemistry. Over the last 8 years, I’ve dedicated my teaching to helping students understand chemistry in a clear, calm, and structured way. I believe learners thrive when they feel supported, so I create a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are treated as opportunities to grow. My explanations focus on clarity and real-world relevance, making even complex topics feel manageable. Watching students gain confidence as they master reaction patterns and problem-solving strategies is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Outside of teaching, I stay connected to the subject by reading scientific articles, exploring chemical applications in daily life, and refining my lesson techniques to better support each learner.

Chemistry becomes more approachable when students learn the underlying patterns that govern reactions and atomic behaviour. My lessons guide learners through atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, energy changes, periodic trends, reaction types, acids and bases, and solution behaviour using clear, accessible explanations. I emphasise building a strong conceptual foundation before moving into more detailed calculations. Beginners learn atomic basics, molecule formation, and simple reaction patterns. Intermediate learners explore moles, balanced equations, intermolecular forces, solubility, and reaction energy changes. Advanced students work through equilibrium, organic chemistry foundations, kinetics, thermodynamics, and structured exam responses. Every lesson includes reasoning practice to help students think like chemists rather than memorise facts. Chemistry lessons help students build scientific confidence, analytical reasoning, and the ability to interpret chemical patterns accurately. My goal is to help them feel capable and empowered, even when facing traditionally challenging topics.
