About Maia
I hold a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry and have 8 years of experience teaching students at different academic levels. My teaching emphasizes clarity, structured guidance, and conceptual understanding, ensuring students develop analytical reasoning and confidence in chemistry.
I customize lessons to meet individual needs, providing foundational support for beginners and challenging advanced learners with applied problem-solving and conceptual exercises. I encourage active engagement, questions, and independent thinking while maintaining a structured approach to ensure mastery.
Outside teaching, I keep up with research, practical experiments, and scientific advancements to bring real-world relevance into lessons. Seeing students develop understanding, analytical skills, and confidence in chemistry is the most rewarding aspect of my work.

Chemistry becomes engaging when students understand how substances interact and why reactions occur. My lessons cover organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry, including reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and chemical analysis. I emphasize conceptual clarity, structured problem-solving, and application in real-world scenarios. Students are encouraged to ask questions, test ideas, and approach problems methodically while developing analytical and critical thinking skills.
Lesson plans are tailored for each learner. Beginners focus on atomic structure, bonding, and simple reactions. Intermediate students study functional groups, reaction mechanisms, equilibrium, and kinetics. Advanced learners explore spectroscopy, complex reactions, analytical techniques, and applied problem-solving. Every lesson includes examples, exercises, and guided reasoning to strengthen conceptual understanding and confidence in chemical reasoning.
The goal of my chemistry lessons is to foster curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability. Students develop a solid foundation, learn to connect theory to practice, and gain confidence in both academic and applied chemistry. Lessons are structured to ensure clear understanding, independent reasoning, and long-term retention.
