About Tamela

Patience defines my daily interactions while I guide students through complex molecular structures. I hold a BS Chemistry degree from Purdue University and a valid teaching credential. Over 10 years, I have seen exactly where confusion starts regarding synthesis pathways and mechanism drawing.

Functional groups, SN1 and SN2 reactions, or IUPAC nomenclature can feel like a foreign language initially. I simplify carbonyl chemistry, carboxylic acids, and mass spectrometry through a steady, concept-first lens. My goal is to make these topics click before the complexity trails off.

About the lesson

Admitting that organic chemistry feels overwhelming at the start is a normal reaction for many. During our first session, we focus on identifying your specific sticking points in aromatic chemistry or radical reactions.

I use my 10 years of experience to ensure the foundation is rock solid before we advance further. My approach leans on the 7.0 teaching framework that emphasizes precision in mechanism drawing and IR spectrometry.
