In teaching organic chemistry I emphasize understanding over memorization and strive to make connections between chemistry and my students' other interests to make the material more meaningful. I find the most productive tutoring begins with my students identifying their own strengths and weaknesses, so I can help them use their strengths as a foundation to improve in other areas.
