About Shepherd
Chartered Governance Secretary with Accounting Degree and diploma in financial management. I have more than 8 years of teaching and lecturing experience in financial accounting, computerized financial accounting, cost and management accounting, business studies. I have worked with various colleges such as Rosebank College.

• My Teaching focuses on moving from the known to the unknown via the framing of appropriate questions, the underlying Accounting concepts or principles with the intention of unpacking the implied embedded information; verbalising and visualising in order to promote sense making
• Accounting and Financial management requires Brain-based learning philosophy that is the use of teaching methods, lesson designs and programmes that are based on latest scientific research. Accounting deals with logic systematic and accurate selection and recording of financial information and transaction as well as the compilation, analysis, interpretation and communication of financial statements and managerial reports for use by interested party
• Students and professionals need to answer the why behind number as a result the Brain based theory.
• Brain based philosophy requires creation of a learning environment in which students are fully involved and immersed in educational experience through collaboration
• Growth is developmental and requires time and patience. We are agents of our own growth
• I have high expectations of my students. l don't expect perfection but l do insist on hard work and their best effort. Ultimate success comes not at the end of semester when l count passes but when a student understand the concepts and can apply such concepts in business, their life
