About Effie

Hello! My name is Effie, and I’m originally from Greece. I’ve been living in Canada for the past ten years, and I have been teaching for more than 35 years.

I truly believe that I was born to be a teacher! Teaching is not just my profession—it is something I genuinely love and feel passionate about.

For 25 years, I taught children and teenagers from 6 to 18 years old, and for another 9 years, I worked with young learners aged 2 to 5. I especially enjoy teaching children and teenagers and helping them discover that learning a language can be fun, enjoyable, and rewarding.

In my lessons, I create a warm, friendly, and positive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and expressing themselves. My goal is to help every student build confidence while developing their speaking, listening, reading, and vocabulary skills.

I believe that every child is unique, so I adapt my lessons to their age, personality, interests, and individual needs. I use engaging activities, conversation, games, stories, and topics that make lessons enjoyable and meaningful.

Whether your child is just starting to learn English or wants to become more confident in speaking, I would be delighted to help them on their learning journey.

I look forward to meeting you and your child and making English a language they enjoy using!
