About Emma

Hey, I'm Emma! I am 28 years old from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the USA. I started learning Spanish when I was 16, but became frustrated by the typical classroom approach to learning a language so I have employed various techniques throughout my life to achieve the fluency that I have today. I have been living in Honduras for a year as the manager of an educational non-profit, and have spent much of my time here designing Spanish and English Language curriculums.

I am a 2020 Teach for America corps member, and a certified elementary education teacher. I have experience teaching all ages-- children, teens, and adults.

About the lesson

I have done all the trial and error of language learning so that you don't have to! Our lessons will focus on meeting your personal Spanish goals as well as giving you tips and tricks for improving language acquisition.

While there are definitely advantages to learning from a native speaker, I share the experience of learning Spanish as a new language so I can support you through the challenges that are unique to Spanish.

I created a Spanish Language course that is designed to improve reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, however I emphasize flexibility and creativity in my lessons so we can focus on whichever skill you need. Whether you're just trying to improve specific skills or you're just starting your Spanish journey, I can help you meet your goals!
