About Jessica
With five years of experience as a high school Spanish teacher, I have built relationships with my students each year while getting to watch them grow in their language skills and have fun in my classroom. While tutoring, I have an even greater opportunity to build a relationship with students and tailor instruction to their personal preferences and needs. This customized time will grow your confidence in your Spanish class. I was also doubling as a student myself up until recently, completing my graduate program while still teaching. I have a fresh perspective on being a student that I can bring to the table as well. Let’s do this together!

I believe that the only way to truly acquire a language is through using it. My teaching approach uses a holistic approach, focusing on balancing practice in reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar skills as well.
A normal tutoring session together will include time to recap what you have learned since your last tutoring session with me, and for you to pose any questions you may have. Then, we will explore more practices, explanations, resources, etc. that fit your needs at this point in your learning journey.
My lessons are for current students, whether at the secondary or college level. I have 5 years of experience teaching Spanish 1-3, and am IB certified with plans to teach HL in the coming year.
