Certified Reading Tutor in North Carolina | Master’s Degree in K–6 Elementary & Special Education | 14 Years Helping Students Improve Phonics, Reading Fluency, and Comprehension
I am a certified teacher in North Carolina with a Master’s Degree in K–6 Elementary Education and certification in Special Education. With over 14 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all abilities and learning styles, helping them grow into confident and capable readers. I am currently working on my AIG K-12th grade certification as well as my Natioal Boards for teaching. I have taught grades Pre-K - 7th Grade! I have tutored online for over 2 years!
What sets me apart is my combination of classroom teaching experience, special education expertise, and individualized tutoring methods. I create a structured but encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating their progress.
My goal is not only to improve reading skills but also to help students develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of reading.

I specialize in reading tutoring, phonics instruction, reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary development, and elementary literacy support for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. My lessons support students who need reading intervention, homework help, test preparation, and confidence building in reading.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and personalized. I focus on evidence-based reading strategies and adapt each lesson to match the student’s learning style and academic needs. I also have extensive experience supporting struggling readers, students with learning differences, and students who need extra academic support.
