About Laura
I believe that every student can learn to read and write given when taught the proper skills and with an encouraging teacher. My teaching experience spans over fifteen years, with a focus in early primary education and foundational literacy strategies. Through my years of teaching and professional development opportunities, I have fostered a strong understanding of literacy development and the importance of evidence-based instructional strategies in foundational reading skills. My son has been seeing Laura for 3 months and is continuing throughout the summer to prepare for Grade 4. She is a fun and friendly teacher that makes her students feel comfortable and confident with their learning. Laura has helped my son so much and he always looks forward to his time with her every week.
Laura is an excellent teacher. She has been teaching kids to read for a number of years. She has an innovative approach to teaching that helped my daughter go from a non reader in grade 1 to reading at grade level in grade 2.
