About Nina
I have been teaching Grade 7 and 8 for the last 10 years and my strength is in using differentiated instruction to meet learners of all abilities and learning styles where they are and to support them in any way I can. I have an academic background in Journalism and the Social Sciences.

First and foremost, I believe it is fundamental to build relationship with a student in order to build trust. This is necessary for the student to be comfortable enough to take risks in their learning and to be willing to think outside the box. I support the student to try numerous different approaches to solve problems and to reflect on their own strengths and any challenges they may face. I highly encourage building critical thinking skills and will help guide the student to formulate questions that will help direct their own learning.
