With more than two decades of experience, I have developed strategies to increase retention and spark interest in learning the Spanish language in all three of the major areas of focus: Reading, Listening and Writing.
A typical first-time tutoring session will begin with me assessing the student's particular learning style. That may be audio, visual or hands-on. Once we determine how best you learn, I will determine your level of mastery over the subject. This may take two separate sessions, as the first session will last for less than an hour. In my experience, no matter how enjoyable a session can be, keeping the learning time under an hour will sharpen skills and produce a burning desire to learn outside of the tutoring environment.
As I close the session, I encourage the student to find methods of cultural immersion such as music, restaurants and media. These techniques have proven effective.
